First Investors Financial Services is a consumer finance company engaged in originating and holding for investment automobile finance receivables and promissory notes originated by franchised automobile dealers or through refinancing transactions with the vehicle owners.

In December 2020, Gallatin Point partnered with previous investor Jacobs Asset Management to purchase the company and recapitalize the balance sheet.

In November 2021, Gallatin Point closed the sale of First Investors to Stellantis to serve as the foundation for a U.S. captive finance company.
