Derek Walker is a Managing Director on Gallatin’s Equity Strategies team. Prior to joining Gallatin, Mr. Walker was an Associate at Thomas H. Lee Partners where he focused on investments in financial services businesses. He began his career in the Financial Institutions Group in the investment banking division at J.P. Morgan. Mr. Walker earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller scholar, and a BA from Yale University, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude. He currently serves on the board of directors of Forbright, Inc. and is a board observer of Delos Insurance Solutions and Pie Insurance.
